  The service here is so appalling that this is the first such review I have ever done. The branch is consistently understaffed and very badly managed. It took three visits to get anyone to help me set up my babies account and even then it was done with a lot of hugging and ‘I’m sorry but we are clearly short staffed here.’ When I asked to see the manager she was out of the building both times. It’s worth noting I tried to phone and make an appointment every time but no one ever answers the phone or calls back. Very very poor management.

  This used to be a very friendly and helpful branch, it has completely changed in only a few years. Only one person at the teller, everyone else hiding in offices with closed doors and when they finally come to the long line they remove you from line to work out that they have no idea what they are doing and put you back to the teller who doesn't explain things, refers you to someone else who complains openly that you're asking for things you can do online yourself. The staff and supervisors are both rude, incompetent and don't understand banking and then throw internal banking terminology at you ("do you mean direct debit or authorised payments") which they should explain but don't. The phone banking is just as bad, and those of us in line who all were moved out of line amd back in due to incompetent bankers struck up a conversation that we were all in the process of closing accounts to another big 4 who has suddenly gotten a lot better. The city branch is a lot better than this one but the bank is still a terrible organisation that charges excess fees and is very rude in comparison to others.

  The moment I stepped in, my wife and I have been attended immediately by very friendly staff who squeezed us into their consultation slots. We were even treated with complimentary drinks. Ms Cindy was very welcoming, patiently answering our many queries and made the process simple and convenient for us. We will be sure to visit this branch any time we need a consult in the future.

  Wanted to cancel the ATM card over telephone due to being misplaced. Very unfriendly service. The operator asked numerous questions which were replied correctly. The last two questions were: the misplaced card number and I replied I don't know as most of the clients can't remember their 12 digits card number on hand. Last question: Tell the last correct date, place & amount spent. Most of the clients can press their memory so hard to give the exact answer. These 2 questions resulted in a big denial to simply cancel my card against any possible misuse. No further help or assistance provided by the bank! Simply untrained staff, frustration & waste of time over the phone..... Would any higher officer in Westpac shall listen to these common difficulties & revise their criteria of identification...!
  A very unsatisfied client.
